This picture was taken in June, 2012 at East Troy Basketry. Vennie Henson is one of my favorite basketry teachers / artists. This was the last class she is teaching anywhere near me (she's retiring this fall). This basket was so much fun to make. We used hand-marbled reed and hand-dyed beads for the accents. My Mother and I were invited out to her private studio - we will be going out there next spring.
