Ok! I bought two lamps for extra lighting $21.00 at home depot! I painted (of course) the shades orange and then cut out the damask shape with my cricut! I cut it out with black and adhered it to the inside of the shade with permanent adhesive. When the light is off you dont even see the shape, but when it's on...
|

This is a great idea! I like it very much! I need to make a change to a cheapie looking lamp shade and may have to get creative like you did! Very nice!

Lamp shade - I watered down regular acrylic paint so that it was really watery, put it in a little spay bottle and sprayed the shade until I liked the color results! (Shade is fabric on the outside)

Luckily i did get a cricut for xmas, and 'Home Accents' is on my list of carts that i'm hunting for! Off i go... thanks for replying !

Thanks! Cut it with my cricut cartridge "home accents" - if you dont have a cricut heidi swapp has a damask sticker - but it's not as big.
