This needs explaining. It my favorite ornament. It was made by my former boss who is a woodcarver. Each year he used to make ornaments that were tools, drills, saws, etc. This time he made books, it is called The Unabridged Toolbox Instruction Manual". He made dozens of them all sweetly hand carved out of a block of basswood. Not mine. Since I am a librarian he made mine to be an open book with warped pages, rips, and dog-eared. He even made a tiny library card out of wood to go in it. His words: "I'm sorry ms librarian. I was reading this book in the tub and dropped it in accidently. You can fix it can't you?" I treasure this little carved mess.
