Fabulous layout.....love all the bits and pieces!
SHCG: Hi Mel, it's so good to see your layouts again :) This is cool, love the owl, the painting and the little skulls, your journaling ~ awesome job :)
shcg; wow, i domn't really know what to say to this, it is a statement and an expression of self. it is wonderfully put together and so much going on here. the colors and distressing all convey what you want. the dark bling, the fonts and the journaling all come together to express your feeling; it is sucha different type of lo. arent self revealing lo's a blast? good job!
SHCG: Welcome back. The purple & black is a great combo. LUV what you did with the owl and the bling. I'm not much into skulls but they really work here given the subject matter. I have to agree with Brenda. My version of this page would have the title, "ah my drunken stupers... GOOD TIMES".
SHCG: Um, (looks around sheepishly), am I the only one who doesn't see anything wrong with your list? I love how you "jacked up" this lo to perfectly match the sentiment and your memories. The skulls' uneven eyes and the red around the owl's eyes are great touches that make them look wasted, too. I like the purple smears on the black, too. I also like the way this page looks horizontally. My only suggestion would be to change out your thank you paper to a golden yellow like in that owl piece, just to have a little bit more of purple's complement, and so that it doesn't compete with your list. I like how the oval helps to draw my attention to the thank you, but I'm also thinking those stones should be different from the ones in the flourishes, like silver. Maybe it's the pic, I can't tell what color it is because I can't zoom. Great job conveying the chaos that can come with drinking. Fun page!
SHCG: Melissa, this is such a fun layout (even if it is some embarrassing memories, for you). I love the handwritten memories on the lined paper. It is reminiscent of a diary and perfect for this topic. I really love seeing your layered layouts and how each texture really adds something to the whole of the completed item. Your embellies are fabulous here. I can't suggest one thing that I would change. It is superb!
SHCG: Awesome LO! Love everything about it.
SHCG: This is wonderful!! Great journaling, your title placement definitely convey's "jacked-up-ness" :) and I love the owl and paint splotches. Great job!!
SHCG - I'm LOL but w/ an empathetic heart, girlfriend... this page is WONDERFUL. The descriptive handwritten journaling, the now-so-wise owl, the AWESOME collage-y array of images/paint/embellies... You really conveyed your point here, creatively & expressively. Excellent work, Melissa!
Love this, so funky!
this is fabulous!!
This is really wonderful! I love your honest journaling.
SHCG: This page fits the topic perfectly.
shcg: too funny Mel! Love the look of this LO because it reminds me of waking up with a hangover. Great job with the painting, LOOOVE the journaling! Only thing I wish was changed is the last few lines of the journaling so that they words aren't all separated. Wonderful job!
OMG, I know these aren't funny but geesh, I couldn't help but smile. Well, at least you realized after just five times, right? This is a fabulous lo! TFS!
