The 2nd Law of the Universe:

Everything that has an end has a beginning; every thing that has a beginning has an end.

But the 1st Law of the Universe is:

There are no beginnings and there are no ends.

I was thinking as I drove to work yesterday how rivers and stories teach us that everything has a beginning and an end. Of course, everything we observe in our lives, and our lives themselves, teach us this. But then I thought, that is illusory....
