Hello. The GIMP is a free, open source image editing software similar to photoshop. It takes a little while to learn, but it is very powerful and I've been about to do alot with it. I just started digital, too. I don't think I'll be able to go back to traditional scrapbooking after using GIMP, though. I hope this was helpful.
