Hi Teri...Yes, that is snow you see in the "danger...kitten on the limb" photo. We have had 3 good snowstorms already but the snow only lasted a few days so no snow now. Thank-you for all of your wonderful comments, I appreciate it! Have a nice week-end!! :)

Photoscape.org for the multi photo's. It's a free download and you can do all sorts of stuff with it, edits, etc. To do the moving pics you would click on the Anigif (I think thats what it is...might have a couple letters off but I know for sure it's the "gif" part. You'll see it as all the options are in a big circle when you open the program. All you have to do is drag your pics and there are lots of options on how you want your pics to move. There are no real good instructions on how to use the program. Just play around with it...not to hard at all!

Hi Teri! Thanks for the sweetness in my gallery. I did the animation using Photoscape. It's a free download...for animation you would click on 'batch editor'. Our Darci turned me on to the animation feature...she's such a sweetie!

Well teri this is my secnd go round with scool dances, being as I am raising granddaughters now. this is old hat to me. lol I was nervous the first time around but I have calmed down about such things now lol

Hi Teri -- yes, its common name is Burning Bush -- it's an euonymus alatus, I think. I have 2 of them that were already here when I moved into this house. They are a nice green in the summer - my spider picture from last month was taken in one of them - and they turn brilliant red/orange in the fall. You'll see as I document, but there is also a pic of my dd on a lo in my gallery that shows one in its glory in the background. It's in my 2006 Album - lo called 'Fall Fun' if you're interested. I guess it's considered an invasive species in some places on the east coast, but it's a popular landscaping bush around here (midwest). Hope this helps!

Teri-I think it is great that you took the iniative to even enter a photo at the fair. My kids did photography for years in 4H and I know what kind of competition there is over there. It's amazing!! You asked if I just happen upon my shots. Yes and no. I love to get up early on Sat or Sun morning and drive along the country roads. Since I moved to town, this gives me my "country" fix. When I see a cool spot, or something catches my eye, I park and get out and investigate further. That is how I found the catapiller. The more desolate the road, the better. With the overcast/cloudy skies we've been having here in KS it has been wonderful mornings to do this. Have a great day!
