I was around, but I wasn't posting on the forums. I was doing Contributing Artist stuff for Pammy's blog. Then I decided to scrap an extra layout. It was a good low key day!

Well... that's the issue. She's got a crappy teacher this year. We've had so many problems already. Including not replying to notes, not setting up meetings I've requested, allowing other children to steal Alexis' bucks rewards (when Alexis said something she said she wasn't worried about it, but Alexis was really upset. She has to behave and do well to get them, and she has a hard time with that.), the little boy who stole the bucks is also hitting her and pulling her hair, I sent a note AGAIN about that. She's pregnant, and will be leaving in December so things will probably get worse when the sub comes in. So funny, her best grades are in spelling because she can memorize. Reading comprehension is horrible. She's not getting it at all, and English rules... synonyms... etc. she's failing.

Heh. Access to the new stuff for, what, 5 years now? We don't discuss my paper stash...my DH just shakes his head...

Bambino is doing good! we find out the sex this friday!!! I can't stand it!!!

My lens habit is definitely cheaper than my paper habit. I think. I have way more paper, tho! LOL!

The green bug on my hibiscus is a Katydid. I actually put it on the flower after I had it on a stick looking at it. It was on my house. I hadn't really seen one before.

Hi.. Thank you for commenting on my "butterfly" sheep photo. My nieces & nephews all belong to 4-H groups, in the spring they buy lambs & piglets & raise them. Then they "show" them at the county fair at the end of August. Then the animals are auctioned off to area individuals/business. The money from the sale goes towards the feed & care of the animal. Sometimes they don't make any profit but it is more of a learning experience anyway. Have a great day!! :)

The hummingbirds have sort of eluded me this summer too. Last year I spent most every morning & evening with them around my feeders. I haven't been able to to do that this year much. I have two feeders hanging on my pool deck which is where I usually take my pics from (have a railing to lean on, lol). I'm guessing I have been standing about 5 ft or so away from my feeder. I do have a fairly good zoom lens too. Last year I had them eating out of my hand....not tried this year. I have had a few curious ones examine me pretty up close & personal though, they love to buzz around my head and get close to my face! I know you have the same kind of feeder I have....I've found they like this one best out of the 4 different kinds I have! Patience is definately the key, gradually get closer to your feeder and they will get used to you. I generally stand with my camera ready to snap the pic. That's why I like using my deck feeder & the rail to lean on. Kills my back to stand so still! Plus I think I get more there because of the water. I've heard that they like the sound of water. My DS always tells me they buzz around all the time when he's in the pool. Have a great day! =}

Thank you for your comments for POD. My pic is actually from the gardens at our zoo. I did find these Hybiscus at my Dad's house today, and I took a pic of it because the color was amazing. I'm going to use it as my POD tomorrow. TU for the info. I'd love to have them...but I kill everything! I just need to enjoy them from others. TFS.

LOL Well your Camellia did better than mine. We haven't seen any sign of any blooms!

nah, it's okay, we don't ever get to keep up anymore! they keep bumping our closing back more so we are waiting patiently. we were actually supposed to be moving this weekend. sigh. anyways, i'll definitely post all the inside pics on my blog once i can get back in there, so i'll let you know! hope you are doing good!
