I am looking for someone to scrapbook something for me that is now on a 3 side project board, used for an Eagle Scout ceremony for my son. I did the work (I am not crafty at all) but I loved the finished piece. I don't want to destroy it, but want to cut it into pieces and put it in a scrapbook format. Rather I want someone to do it for me. :-) Any ideas in the Atlanta area? Are you near Atlanta? Do you still scrapbook for others? Please reply at melanie.davis.king@gmail.com. Thanks so much for giving me some direction.

Thanks for the nice comments you left in my gallery. The tape measure card was not a die cut. I made that on my own. Jen

Hey Heather, You asked how old my kids were when we started homeschooling... They were in 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th grades. It was quite a lifestyle adjustment for me and I was totally "lost" as to what I was doing. It took a few years to get in the groove, unfortunately for the older two! LOL! But, they turned out fine - both are now self-educated computer programmers with very good paying jobs... (my youngest son is also a self-educated computer programmer). I did a much better job with the younger two - I like to think it's because they weren't in public school long enough to be "corrupted". I don't have a very high opinion of the public school system. Our state ranks at the bottom nationwide and our county is pretty low statewide - sadly. I was shocked when I first brought them home to "school" at the things they did NOT know. My oldest two didn't even know the parts of speech! And all of my kids were in the accelerated programs in school - they were straight A, top of the class kids. That's really scary. It may be a little scary at first, but you will do a fine job and it will be fun. Just remember to have fun, enjoy it and try to make it enjoyable for them. Don't stress about the little things - they can learn so much more at home than in p.s. I would hold mine up to any kid, from any education background and be proud. My dd, Sarah, is in college now. I homeschooled her from 4th grade on. She graduated with a perfect 4.0, and first in her class, when she got her AA - not bad for a homeschooled kid :) If you have any questions, just ask - I learned a lot by trial and error. It will really help you, too, if you have a "support group" - others who are and have homeschooled and can give you direction. Also, read everything you can on the different methods of h.s. - There is no one 'right' way - they is a 'right' way for you and your kids and it may be different for each one of them. Good luck and God bless you and your exciting new journey!!! Hugs, Betty

I'm posting this here because I don't believe that my comment went through on your blog. Perhaps it just takes a while to be processed. "Heather, your little book is very sweet and telling about how you feel being a mom. Lovely family pics and moments to treasure always. Fran (Quick Silver)" - Have a great day, Fran
