Description: Journaling on tag in pocket:

Nipper was the best dog.
A sweet loving girl.
She was a gift from my
Uncle Mike when I was 8.
She got her name because as a
puppy she had such a love
for "nipping" at ankles.
Eventually she outgrew it,
but the name fit her.

She was my best friend.
She was the first one I saw
in the mornings,
and the last one I saw at night.
Ive never seen a dogs tail wag
as hard as hers did when she
saw me coming home from school.
She loved and protected me,
and I felt the same about her.

When she got sick
and I (we) made the choice
to let her move on, I was 17.
The day she physically left my life
I cried like a baby.
I cried for days.
My heart was broken.

I will never forget her
and all the love she gave me.
I just hope she has forgiven me
for having cats now!

I love your little pocket that you put your journaling in. Nipper would be so thrilled you still remember and still love her. I'm sure she still loves you.

You had me in tears, until the last line. What a sweet baby you had. I bawl like a baby whenever I have to put one of my dogs to sleep. And we're talking for days and days. But when they get old or sick, it's really the loving thing to do. Dogs give us so much joy that it outweighs the pain, and we do miss them so much. Sweet layout!!
