My entry in the May OUAS challenge. The challenge required a visible number on the layout.
The photograph shows my Mother on her First Communion day in 1929. I do not know the exact day or month, most likely May.
The full journaling is revealed by pulling on the tiny chain attached to the cross in the upper left corner. The chain and the cross belonged to my Mom.
Journal reads: "How special this day must have been for you. Every little girl dreams of wearing a beautiful white dress, feeling like a little princess! Although I am sure the dress was a "hand-me-down" from your older sisters, it did not matter, you were still the most lovely girl, so poised and elegant looking, even at the tender age of 8!"
I used lots of ink and sprays on this layout, along with molding paste, bits and pieces of old laces and tatting, personal memorabilia and trinkets.
Thanks so very much to all who look at my page, I appreciate your taking to time, it means a lot to me!
