Ruth was my mother-in-law. In this pic she was 19 years old. She liked flowers but thought they belonged in the garden, not in a vase, so I only used one small silk flower as a background for a little crest. She liked birds, butterflies, squirrels and chipmunks so I used two of these in the LO. Ruth liked pretty gems, stones of colour, rather than pearls: Diamonds were her best friends so I included a couple of gems and a crystal flourish.
I used my new inks, glitter and chalks. I printed the butterfly on transparency, added details with glitter then cut it out. Die cuts were made on my Cricut. I traced the butterfly on the right with glitter and gel pens.
