journaling: Sunday afternooon I went for a walk by myself down Dinmore Rd. That's not too far from where we usually go walking & it's a dead end with hardly any traffic. This is close enough that I can easily walk there from home. I was taking photos of pretty leaves & then caught movement out of the corner of my eye. It was this hawk & he really didn't seem to care that I was pretty close. He was in a tree not too far off the paved road, so I used the zoom on my camera & got those great pictures. Look how relaxed he was! He was still there when I walked out. Showed Marcia pics next day - she thinks juvenile red hawk who didn't know enough to be afraid.
