Nursing Warthog - Pilanesberg

The warthogs are quite funny, eating while resting on their elbows. 2 moms had 6 babies between them, one mom nursing 3 at the same time. This bunch was snacking next to our lunch spot.

We spent the last few days of 2012 with friends who live in Rustenburg, about 2 & half hours drive from where we live. Just outside Sun City is a game reserve, Pilanesberg. We spent one day driving through half the reserve, snapping pics of animals, birds and nature. No big cats though – although we witnessed an Elephant rampage in the distance – big bulls chasing down a gorge, crashing trees as they go. Amazing to listen to!
