Idol week 6: Hearts, couple, and title from a ballad.
There is a story to this one. My dad (a good singer) sings this song to mum when he gets the chance. There is so much love, pride and joy in his voice and it brings tears in my eyes every time I hear him sing this song. I wanted to make this page as beautiful as their love and use my mums favorite colors on it. Their wedding picture is from 1970 and the other is a couple of years old.
Here are the original lyrics (the Icelandic translation is pretty direct)
She wears my my ring to show the world
That she belongs to me
She wears my ring to show the world
She's mine eternaly
With loving care I place it on her finger
To show my love for all the world to see
This tiny ring is a token of tender emotion
An endless fool of love that's as deep as the ocean
She swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing because she wears my ring.
