First, please don't judge me by the photo... it's late and my camera is tired (not to mention me!) :o)
This is for the Page Maps 38 Challenge: Week 1 and Monochrome Challenge: Week 1 Marine Blue with twist. This is also an example (ahem, last day of course) of my Subject Challenge for April: April Showers. I have had this page in my head since I posted the challenge, but have not had the time, energy or creativity to pull it together. Okay, I procrastinate, but sometimes that's when I get the most done. Of course I loose out on sleep, but it's worth it in the end!
These photos were taken last August in Laughlin/Bullhead City, NV during the 2011 River Regata. It's a giant river float down the Colorado for about 3-4 hours. Basically a party on a raft complete with looots of water, booze and relaxation. It was SO much fun! We lashed four inner tubes to a raft, put the coolers (with adult beverages) in the raft and floated down the river. The day was hot and humid, but overcast and threatening rain. It finally let loose on us for about 20 minutes during the middle of the float, but being so humid, it actually felt good. (Not to mention, we're already wet because we are IN water!) DH and I hope to do the float again, but it may be a while... In the meantime, we can reminisce on the great adventure and experience of that year's rainy Regata!
The front blue paper (where the compass is) is actually a print from M's Recollections called 'I wanna Ride: Creek'. I thought that was appropriate! I'll retake the photo later, just want to get this in the challenges tonight!
TFL!
