My DGS, Adam, at the rodeo - his first try at mutton bustin! I have to admit, I'd never heard of "mutton bustin" until my DD showed me these photos! I couldn't believe a five year old would be brave enough to try riding the sheep - and he got bucked off! Background paper is kraft cardstock. Photos are mounted on black and the rope swirls were hand doodled in black. the Yee-Haa signs and the Rodeo sign are chipboard by Creative Imaginations. I made the fence with white cardstock and brads, highlighting the fence boards with Copic markers. I used my grass stamp across the bottom, and added a few brown grasses with a zig pen. The Rodeo sign is tied on the fence with jute and the journaling that is tucked behind the main pic has a jute pull. Title letters were cut with the Silhouette. I added faux stitching around each title letter. Journaling reads:
When your Mama showed me these photos, I had no idea what you had done, but it seems as though the rodeo has a special event for little guys called “mutton bustin'.” You actually rode on a bucking sheep. I couldn't believe these photos when your Mama showed them to me. I would have been scared, but not you! Five years old…WOW! You are one brave little cowboy!
