Photo of my mama and her sibling and families taken in 1951 or 1952. All the adults are gone now, with the exception of my Mama and my Aunt Estelle and four of the children on the front row. I found this photo at my Mama's house, and I know "most" of the people in it, but I still need to do a little research to find out who the rest of them are. I used Echo Park - This and That collection for this layout. The title work was cut with QK Magnolia dies (once in black and once in brown and then layered). I made the photo extra large...about 9 x 11. The camera embellie is a picture of a camera I found online and printed out in black and white, then added a bit of sponged ink to make it more antique looking. The oval tag that says "Pace Family" was printed from the computer and cut with a Spellbinder die. I added a thin strip of black and brown ribbon at the top and bottom of the center mat and the border added under it was cut with a Spellbinder border die. The oval with the quote in the upper right hand corner, was cut with a Spellbinder die and then sponged with DI - old paper. I cut an oval to matched the center of the die cut and sponged it with the same DI and stamped the quote in walnut DI. The butterfly is a TH image, stamped in walnut DI, colored with Copics and cut out. The flowers and leaves behind are two different dies (Memory box - flowers and Sizzix - leaves). Journaling is tucked behind the big photo and has a pull tab with black bling to keep it from slipping behind the photo. I also added a bow from the same ribbon to the bottom ribbon, and a few dots of brown Liquid Pearls between the scallops and a little doodling here and there on the layout. I think that's everything. Journaling reads:
I donít know what the occasion was for this photo, but all of the Pace siblings were present, along with their mother (my grandmother). There are quite a few of the men that I donít recognize, but hopefully, I will be able to find out who they are and update this one day. As for the date it was taken, I guessing it must have been around 1951 or 1952. I spoke with my cousin Charlotte, and she told me that she was 11 years old when this photo was taken, but she canít remember why they were all together. Charlotte is about 10 years older than me, so that would put the date around 1951 or 1952.
