These photos were all taken either from the top of the Hop On-Hop Off double-decker bus or from places where we got off to walk. We love the Hop On-Hop Off buses - we can get off wherever we want to explore then catch the next bus to continue the route.
Directly to the left is a photo taken at the entrance of a very nice shopping mall on the bus route. It is very common to see Buddhist shrines like this in front of stores, restaurants and even on the sidewalks all China. The little platforms around it are for leaving offerings which are often food, incense or flowers.
Some of our friends from the ship took the elevator to the top of one of the skyscrapers to enjoy the view. Later when we traded flash drives with our photos this view of Shanghai taken from the top of one of the tallest buildings was on a flash drive. (Thanks Alice!) Even though we didnít take this tour, the photo was so great I wanted to include it!
