I love being outside with our children
DD being 8, she is not very excited if we "just go for a walk". Luckily my wonderful sister has introduced geocashing to her.
"Geocaching is using multi-billion-dollar satellite systems up in space, with hundred-dollar handheld GPS receivers, to find Tupperware filled with cheap treasures out in the forest or around town," (Geoff Atkinson).
It is a modern treasure hunt and now there are quite a few made specially for kids. I really like them since it gets you to places you would normally not frequent.
