Another lo using a photo of my Mum as a little girl. This time, she's four and has just been crowned "May Queen" of Princeville Health Nursery. She looks very regal in her velvet gown and flower crown.
In keeping with the spring theme and knowing my mother's love of roses, I used lots of flowers and pretty garden themed elements. I also wanted a regal feel, hence the purple and gold.
This lo' contains many embellies which were kind and thoughtful gifts from friends. Firstly, the big rose chippie, which I painted with gold and green paint and used pink carstock behind, was a gift from the queen of kindness herself, Chez (thank you my friend, I have been dying to use this gorgeous chippie) and the Kaisercraft die cuts were a gift from my best friend Luisa.
Lots of fussy cutting and using up supplies on hand. The lo ended up turning out a little different to what I had envisioned, but I am happy with it now.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to look at and comment on my page, I appreciate it very much.
