This is a photo of my parents on their wedding day, in 1966. They met at the boarding house they were both living at shortly after arriving in Australia as new immigrants from Scotland and England. After a 6-week whirlwind romance, they were engaged and six months after that they were married. Now, nearly 47 years on, that dashing, blonde haired Scotsman still makes my Mum's heart skip a beat and Dad is still as smitten with his bonnie, Yorkshire lass as he was the first time he saw her, all those years ago. Theirs is a marriage we all aspire to, built on love, laughter and genuine friendship. They are an inspiration.
Used Megs Garden pps, lots of fussy cutting, stamping and inking. The adorable chippie birdbath and birds are from Scrapmatts (a thoughtful gift from the wonderful Chez herself) and the wooden title words are Kaisercraft.
Again, thanks for dropping by, I appreciate the visit.
