Boy, did I have fun making this card! I took this photo of a Say's Phoebe that lit on our barn last summer and posed so pretty for me. Actually got several shots of him, one looking forward, but I chose this one for the card. Printed it out and fussy cut around him to make him the centerpiece, so to speak! I have to admit at this time that when I go to Home Depot or Lowe's I like to pick up their sample paint cards and use on my cards or scrapping! The background I mounted him on is a Martha Stewart Living Precious Metals Brown Zircon paint card sample. Distressed around the edges as well as the large background paper (The Paper Company - Gold Diamond Filigree on Ivory). For the card itself I used Core-dinations Foundations Canvas Texture in Butternut Cream. I took a Q-tip and dabbed a little inks to tint the flowers on the journaling card to give it a little color. The embellies on the sides are Laliberi - EK Success Pendants - Long Filigree Bases and I added LaMode Vintage buttons, also tinting those with Tim Holtz distress ink and added Perfect Pearls to give them a little luster. Thank you for stopping by and all the sweet and encouraging comments! Comments (7)
