This is for carrottop's Lyric challenge - we had to use the lyrics of a Rod Stewart song.
I chose the song 'In my life' - the picture is one of the very few I have of my Mom and I when I was little (this was taken in 1969). I chose the song because I wanted to my Mom to know that even though I'm 40 and have a family of my own, I still love her very much.
The words of the song are written on the paper underneath the photo:
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some are gone and some remain
Oh these places had their meanings
With lovers and friends, I still recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, Ive loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one, compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love, as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life, I've loved you more.
