Well, finally got around to telling ya a little about me. I retired 8 years ago at the age of 52 and have been enjoying my retirement. My days are filled with scrapping, cardmaking, communicating on various websites, cooking, baking and shopping.

I am married 13 years to a most wonderful, generous, kind-hearted guy. He's also a cutie! The second time around is the winner!

My first marriage produced my most precious gifts, my sons. They are both now in their early 30's and I'm patiently waiting for them to make me a granny....oh, I am also waiting patiently for them to get married!!!!!

After battling obesity all my life, I have lost 150 lbs and believe this time, I will maintain the loss through healthy lifestyle changes, making good choices, and taking responsibility for my health. Prior to losing the weight I was immobile, unable to stand for any length of time...could not walk a half a block...had to shop with a motorized cart; was diabetic; had sleep apnea, spinal stenosis pain that was so severe I lived on oxycontin and vicadon. I now can walk forever, especially at malls and outlets :)... no longer diabetic; no more sleep apnea; and the spinal pain that forced me to live on meds is gone! So, yeah, there is no way I will regain the weight I have lost. The weightloss has impacted my life, in a good way, in so many ways. I am blessed!

2008 was a most difficult year for me. I won't go into it here, but it's all in my blog if you would like to know more. Suffice to say, I welcome 2009 and look forward to a healthy and peaceful new year and wish you all the same!
