  • Review: Autumn Leaves - Mod - Primary Collection - Mini - Bag O Buttons

    Verified Buyer
    I recommend this product

Autumn Leaves Mod Primary Collection Mini Bag O Buttons (03 May 2008)

This little package is just packed full of buttons. Great value for the price. There were very few broken buttons that couldn't still be used as compared to some other brands that seem to always have about 10 broken buttons in the pack. The colors are vibrant. There is a really good variety of sizes too. The little bag that the buttons come in is also reusable. I would recommend this product

  • Review: Glue Dots Play Pack, CLEARANCE

    I recommend this product

Glue Dots - Vellum Glue Dot Sheets (25 April 2008)

I used these for the first time at a crop Friday night and feel they are the best quality vellum adhesive that I have ever used! There is no mess, unlike my roll of vellum tape that has a tendency to get lint on the sides of the roll if I am not careful where I lay it down. I have really liked my roll of vellum adhesive up until I actually used this product. I used the Glue Dots brand vellum glue dot sheet adhesive on vellum that is mounted on a dark red and there is no show through at all. A small amount held the vellum in place. For the price, I feel this is a very economical product also, each sheet will do multiple layouts!

Heidi Swapp Altered Clock (03 February 2008)

I highly recommend making this Heidi Swapp altered clock! I absolutely love it and had a blast making it. It is my favorite altered home decor item so far. I had no trouble getting the clock face off or on or removing the hands and putting them back on. I removed the white overlay inside the clock with the numbers on it ( a little tricky as it is glued in very well) and used that as my template to cut the patterned paper for the background, cut just inside your pencil line and it will fit perfect. I discarded the white overlay as my patterned paper became the background for the clock and I decided not to have any numbers on my clock. I purchased the black clock before a pink clock was available so I painted it with Krylon interior/exterior Pink spray paint. One could use any color spray paint to alter the color of the clock to match their home decor. I found ideas for altering this clock in the Creative Escape 2006 book, but there are ideas in the gallery also and ideas on line. I used Herma dotto repositional adhesive to adhere the patterned paper to the clock and glue dots to adhere all the embellishments such as the ghost letters, hearts etc. to the patterned paper. You can see my altered clock in my gallery.

Heidi Swapp 12x12 Calendar Jet Black (02 February 2008)

I made my first Heidi Swapp calendar last year during a BPS class, A Year To Remember 2007, taught by Heidi Swapp and loved it. I had so much fun doing it, I decided to make another one for this year. I like having documentation of the year's happenings, it comes in handy sometimes. I would also consider making one of these calendars for an expectant mom to document her pregnancy or for the birth of a new baby. If you want to start the calendar with the beginning of a pregnancy and it isn't January, then just cover the area on the calendar where the month is printed with embellishments and use stamps etc. and start with whatever month you want.
I like the clear pages in between the months for layouts. After 12 months, you have a completed scrapbook!

  • Review: Autumn Leaves - Designing With Idea Calendar - 2008

    I recommend this product

    Designing With 2008 (17 January 2008)

So far, I have really enjoyed this calendar. I like that there are different categories of ideas such as 2-page layouts, stamping, home, misc, digital and cards. I like having the photos of each project with simple directions that are very easy to understand and follow. Each day there is a list of supplies that goes with the project. It is like taking a mini scrapbooking class every day.

Carolee's Creations Adornit - Idea and Pattern Book - Christmas Joy (10 December 2007)

I highly recommend this book for Christmas ideas! The photos of the projects and patterns are very easy to follow. I have already started making the Christmas tree that is shown on the cover! I also really like that kits are available to make the projects in this book.
