  • Review: We R Memory Keepers - Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite

    Verified Buyer
    I recommend this product

    Exceptional Product!! (28 February 2008)

I just received my Big Bite yesterday, and let me just say, I AM IMPRESSED!! I never had the original CAD, though I had wanted one. The thing that kept me from getting the original was the lack of reach, so when I saw this one, I was chomping at the bit for it! Until now I have been using the old hammer style and silent setters, which I have to say, mine was NOT silent. There was always a loud POP when I tried to use it. I say tried, because half the time it wouldn't go all the way through my paper. So far I have only tried the Big Bite on cardstock, but I have to say, this thing punches holes like it's going through butter. Now, on to the issues... The little blocks you turn to select the type of item you are trying to set (eyelets, gromlets, snaps) have tiny little letters and numbers on them that can be difficult to see. If you are far sighted in any way, GET OUT YOUR GLASSES! Also, Punching holes is a breeze to figure out, and the instruction sheet is Very clear when it comes to setting gromlets( gromlet and paper both go upsidedown), but the instructions for eyelets left a little to be desired (at least in my opinion) I did it wrong the first time, and it just crushed my eyelet. Luckily I was working on a practice piece of cardstock. The second time, I didn't even follow the instructions, I just decided to try it a different way than I had the first time, and lo and behold, it worked perfectly! Just in case anyone else is confused about the eyelet setting...
    1. punch hole for eyelet
    2. put eyelet into hole, right side up
    3. put paper containing eyelet into the Big Bite right side up!
    4. make sure the little post on the top block goes into the eyelet
    hole and press.
Hope you enjoy your Big Bite as much as I know I will!!

    Absolutely Beautiful! (30 January 2008)

The Urban Couture collection from BG is my favorite paper collection, and the only paper collection to date that I have purchased more than once. I have used this collection on multiple altered projects and layouts. The colors and designs are beautiful, and they coordinate so well that you can use them in any combination to create a stunning work of art.

    Rhonna Farrer + Autumn Leaves = A++ (30 January 2008)

I absolutely LOVE these stamps. The designs are so versatile you can use them on ANY layout or project and it will look beautiful! The ease of use is just incredible. Simply peel them off the package, stick them to your clear block and you're ready to go. You'll get perfect placement every time with these easy to see through stamps. Use them with a variety of different inks and paints, and then simply clean them with an ink remover or soapy water. Now that I have tried clear stamps, I would rather use them over opaque rubber stamps any day!

  • Review: Xyron Personal Cutting System with Two Design Books, CLEARANCE

    Verified Buyer
    I don't recommend this product

    Such a Shame (14 January 2008)

the concept behind this product is wonderful, but the reality is, it doesn't work properly half the time. first of all, the cutting mats leave a great deal to be desired. After just a few cuts, the paper will come off inside the machine. Also, for some reason the blade doesn't always reset to the starting point, which causes the blade to go off the paper and the machine to say there was an error. Overall, if the kinks were worked out and there were more design books available, this would be an excellent product. Unfortunately that is currently not the case.

  • Review: Making Memories - Scrapbook Embellishment Storage Jars - 3 Large Jars

    I recommend this product

    Wonderful! (14 January 2008)

I love these! I have 9. I use them to store buttons, ribbon, and flowers at the moment. I love the fact that they are plastic and not glass. They are just as attractive as glass jars, but with my 3 year old running around, I don't have to worry about them getting knocked off of shelves!
