Tigerlille's Reviews

  • Sophisticated & Funky (10 August 2010)

This is one of my favorite stamp sets. The detail, layering, and depth of the large flower stamp with paisley is wonderful.
I've never actually used the stamps for anything, but I have happily spent hours playing with design arrangements. I've thought about looking up the paper collection they accompanied, but that might spoil them for me.

  • An Exquisite Stamp (10 August 2010)

This is an absolutely exquisite stamp. You just can't go wrong with it. I like using it with vellum and embossing it with silver, for an ethereal, fairy-land effect.

  • A Very Useful Die for Christmas Cards (10 August 2010)

This is a great die for making Christmas cards. particularly if you make two or three different styles of card per year. It is essentially three embellishments, each simple and classic. Great for gift tags or stationery too.

  • A Lovely & Versatile Die Cut (10 August 2010)

This is a lovely die cut. There is a very thin cut down the middle of the leaves, so you can just gently fold them up for a nice 3-D effect. The stems with leaves can also be used for small blossom die cuts, such as the blossoms from the Build a Lilac die. I love using fruit in my lay outs - fruit has always symbolized abundance and generosity for me.

    A Stunning Embellishment (17 June 2010)

I bought this butterfly for a lay out about my daughter. Her favorite color is blue, and the deep blue color of the wings, etched with silver, seemed to suggest something very private and kind of mystical that fits with her nature. I found the combination of red, green, and clear rhinestones, which encrust the edge of the wings, somewhat unlikely (Christmas, anyone?), but it works. BTW, my butterfly did not have the green tones shown on the wings in the photo, and the faceted beads that made up the insect's body were clear.

The butterfly is really stunning on a page.

One of the nicest things about this butterfly is that once you have it in your hands, you realize how easy it would be to duplicate it, and develop your own color themes.

Unique Vintage Butterfly Fairy Clear Stamp (17 June 2010)

This is a very unique little vintage, clear stamp, featuring a butterfly fairy. I love it, and would have bought a kit for considerably more money, if that was what I would have had to do to obtain it. As it is, the stamp is a steal at $1.61. If your scrapbooking features vintage, fairy/fantasy, or nature themes you will find many uses for this little stamp. It is great fun to color in the stamped impression with quality markers!
