  • Review: Daisy D's Paper Company - Fresh Fabric Flowers - Warm Me Up, CLEARANCE

    Verified Buyer
    I recommend this product

Great little kit for a variety of projects (11 October 2008)

This generous little box packed with fabric flowers come in a variety of lovely warm colours and sizes ready to mix and match. I hadn't used flowers much before buying this pack, and it has given me lots of inspiration to try out different things. I have used them on cards, scrapbooking, altered projects etc and they are easy to embellish with brads, buttons and more!

The only downer is because of the packaging a few of the petals inevitably get creased the wrong way, but that can easily be fixed with a bit of water and a quick cool iron, or even just pressing it between pages of a book if, like me, you *shock horror* do NOT own an iron!!

  • Review: Coluzzle Starter Kit

    I recommend this product

A great first cutting tool (29 August 2008)

Coluzzle is my first cutting tool. I really enjoy how easy it makes cutting shapes. The swivel knife is cool and really does swivel! Though it does take a bit of getting used to. Having said that it took me only a couple shapes to get the hang of it. I like its no fuss simplicity and deilvers great results every time. Templates are great and make cutting standard shapes like circles a breeze!! The starter pack comes with simple instructions and useful tips and ideas.

Drawbacks: Some people might find it a bit fiddly to use, and you do need a steady hand and just the right amount of pressure to get it perfect. Also initially one needs to be careful not to scratch templates or damage the blade when practising. The cuts are incomplete and need to be completed with a fine scissors/craft knife, which some might find a pain. I personally don't think it's a problem. Finally the tiny blade is sharp and exposed so definitely not one for younger kids.

Otherwise I think it's an indespensible tool that doesn't cost much and does the job!
