Bonus: Color and Texture (10 January 2011)

This paper fills two basic design elements - color and texture. I needed a khaki color in my paper collection and this one came with visual texture, a scale small enough that can blend with anything else one is working with, never a bad thing. I particularly like this kind of thing because I'm a card maker and the sense of design elements is quite different than scrapbooking, what I do when I can get to it.

    A Hard Lesson (10 January 2011)

Rich colors, wonderful texture, great for scrapbooking. Not so hot for card making. I had forgotten the lesson I learned when I first bought this paper in a storefront several months ago. It does not bend well. When one folds it, it splits and reveals the white core. Because of its stunning color, and variety the texture gives, I'm keeping it and programming my brain against buying a monochromatic package again!

    A Hard Lesson (10 January 2011)

This paper is beautiful - for scrapbooking. Rich colors, wonderful texture, good substance, difficult for card making. When one bends it, it splits and reveals the white core. I admit I forgot it check this paper when I ordered it; however, it'll make great frames and accent colors.

This paper collection is perfect for my card making. (10 January 2011)

Scrapbook pages can be perfect for making cards, but I have to be careful with pattern size. Large patterns work very well, because the repetition gets lost in the 5 x 6 size of the card, and small patterns are obviously wonderful for secondary patterns. Medium patterns are tricky and need to be placed appropriately on the paper. This Amy Butler Collection has all that. I have come to know that K and Co papers are of excellent quality; I can bend them and the top color/pattern won't split. I can get, conservatively, 18 6-card sets from this Collection - quite a deal for this card maker.
However, I felt at the time of order that I was taking a risk when buying. I would have preferred to see a larger photo of the collection as well as a photo of each paper. As it happened, all is well and I love the collection - it's perfect!!

Perfect for my taste (19 July 2010)

I'll be using this paper for card-making, so I have to buy paper that, for the most part, has smaller-scaled paper or can be adapted to small-scale work. This paper is lovely, the colors will be easy to work with, and it will help me produce several packs of greeting or note cards. Oh, the package got here without a scratch...Thanks!
