  • Review: LaBlanche - Specialty Collection - Stamping Paper Pack - A4

    I recommend this product

Specialty Paper LaBlanche (06 March 2012)

This paper is so smooth! You can blend your distress inks on it with no big over-colored smudges; this paper allows you to keep on blending in those spongy looking mistakes.
However, the look is SMOOTH. The paper allows the distress inks to have "wet time" for blending; it is great for adding all different colors and having them merge into each other beautifully. If you are looking for a rustic look, stick to cardstock with the distressed inks.
When using the LaBlanche stamps and Archival Ink, the result on this paper is amazing.

LaBlanche Birds Nest Stamp (06 March 2012)

The LaBlanche stamps are very unique, with such beautiful detail that they should only be used with either Archival Ink or Versafine Ink to capture the fine lines that make these stamps so gorgeous. I love that these stamps do not have to be placed on an acrylic block; they are easily transferred to cardstock or stamping paper ( try the specialty stamping paper from LaBlanche for the best look) by just pressing on the back of the stamp all over with two fingers.
I watched the videos demonstrating the coloring techniques with the Tim Holtz distress inks and I used this method to color in my Birds Nest Stamp. I found that the colors detracted from the perfect detailing of the stamp, so I then chose to only color the eggs ( Broken China) and breast of the Robin
( Fired Brick). I went over the background (Scattered Straw) and the results were beautiful.. then coated it with a crackle glaze. I am so happy with the results that I ordered more LaBlanche stamps.
