Be Forewarned (02 June 2009)
I was very impressed when I first purchased this trimmer and recommended it to everyone. Now I am sorry that I did.
The gridlines wore off and the self-sharpening blade no longer cuts smoothly and until I purchase a new trimmer, I have to trim cuts with scissors.
Here is the reply I rec'd from MM when I contacted customer service:

Thank you so much for your email and purchasing a Making Memories Trimmer. We don't have a way to fix or restore the grid lines. We do not warranty our trimmers after 12 months of use due to normal wear and tear, therefore we are unable to replace it for you. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope you have a nice day.
Let the buyer beware!!! I will NOT be purchasing this trimmer again.
