Bio:
Hi there! I started scrapbooking when I got engaged in 2001 and was pretty devoted to the "old way" of doing things, aka: lots of stickers and lots of white space! :-)
When I was pregnant, I was determined to finish my wedding and honeymoon album before our son was born, but he had other plans and arrived 7 weeks early! (Needless to say, I have up unto our reception completed and everything else is sitting neatly in a box on the top shelf of my closet! Oh well!) Caleb is the light of our lives and is currently working as a professional scrapbook model! :-)
I started my "modern era" scrapbooking with my good friend Jennifer who I met through our sons' infant playgroup. We found that we shared many common interests, including a desire to begin documenting our son's everyday lives in scrapbooks. We took an intro to scrapbooking class at our local Recollections and the rest is history! (I'm so hooked that I even work at the store part-time so I can get my hands on all the latest and greatest stuff!)
My biggest obstacle at first was getting over the obsession with every layout needing to be a two-page layout. Now, I LOVE one-pagers but every now and then I need to spread out some more and will do a two-pager for old time's sake!
My Top 10 favorite scrapbooking supplies (in no particular order) are:
1. rub-ons of any kind
2. Heidi Swapp bling
3. Basic Grey papers
4. Tacky Tape
5. naked chipboard shapes and letters
6. ColorBox "cat's eye" Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan
7. Crop-a-dile
8. ribbons
9. my stapler
10. buttons
I'll be slowly adding some of my recent projects and layouts to my gallery. Thanks for sharing your ideas with me!
Love,
Molly
