The love of ones daddy is not measured in Silver or in Gold,
But in the precious memories we each in our hearts hold.
The love of ones daddy is what we remember long ago,
The things in our minds and memories that we hold.
Not the things we've heard or have been told.
The love of ones daddy is what we know inside.
Not what some people would cover up or hide.
The love of ones daddy is what we know is pure and true.
The things that make us happy not sad or blue.
The good things that were between him and you.
The love of ones daddy is when we took that special walk.
Or when we just sat down with him and had a good long talk
In our hearts we will carry the times that were good
And we wouldn't change them even if we could.
Just remember you can lose it all the silver and the gold
But the precious memories in your heart you will always hold.
And that as long as we have a breath to breathe
The love of ones daddy will never go away or leave.
