Lest You Never Know
She walks in beauty full of grace,
A starlight scene across her face;
The skies of heaven lend me sight,
That I may see her beauty bright.
She is a light into my soul,
With a smile my heart she stole;
Oh how you sparkle, how you shine,
My dearest Ashley Caroline.
The sight of her: Epiphany,
Her spoken word: A symphony;
Just to speak with her a pleasure,
And her memory I will treasure.
Our days of youth have come and past,
The days of which could never last;
I never meant to let you go,
And why I did I'll never know.
