Iím leaving now to slay the foe Ė
Fight the battles, high and low.
Iím leaving mother, hear me go!
Please wish me luck today.

Iíve grown my wings, I want to fly,
Seize my victories where they lie.
Iím going, mom, but please donít cry Ė
Just let me find my way.

I want to see and touch and hear,
Though there are dangers, there are fears.
Iíll smile my smiles and dry my tears Ė
Please let me speak my say.

Iím off to find my worked, my dreams,
Carve my niche, sew my seams,
Remember, as I sail my streams Ė
Iíll love you all the way.
