through the view finder
sweeping field of vision
scanning angles
seeking angels
the soft mute muffle of feathers
with interlocking barbs
lending strength to hollow quill and hollow bone
lifting the inconceivable weight of muscle and
creating channels of air
regulating temperature
fully extending
sweeping slicing through wind
catching the currents
strong steady strokes
of experience
skirting obstacles
to my eternal envy

until thousands of miles
metrically convert to meters
reducing to centi-
milli-
meters
