My Angel
Submitted by: KrisGirl34
Author: Kristen
Why is it that I don't remember...
The time we met
But I know it did
The times we laughed
But I know we did
The times we cried
But I know we did
The times you said that you loved me
But I know you did
The times you picked me up when I felt down
But I know you did
The times you told me I can when I said I can't
But I know you did
The times you said you would be my angel forever and always
But I know you did
The time my angel died.
But I know you did
Dear Dixie,
Can anyone replace the relationship that a best friend has? The bond that an angel has with you. The bond between you and I. My grandmothers next door neighbor, and my angel. The times that we spent together are just memories, so young how could I know that I would never see you again, could I? I know every once in a while you will pull back the thick blanket of clouds to check on me. The question is do you like what you see, so much sin, how can you still love me? How can you forgive me, you, such an angel with white feathery wings, come and embrace me, whisper in my ear, tell me that everything will be alright, make me believe that everything will be alright. Tell me you are in heaven, make me believe in heaven. Tell me that you love me, make me believe you love me. Tell me you miss me, make me believe you miss me. Tell me that you are my angel. Make me believe you are my angel. And if you do I will tell you I love you and I miss you. I know you are in heaven, I know everything will be alright, I know you are my angel. It is nothing more than selfishness that makes me miss you, for you are somewhere much better than here, for you can run free, and soon I will be there, to be an angel with you. And most importantly to tell you I love you.
