""Awaiting""

The power I would find

To wake and rise each day

Left when you went away

That silly love struck smile

I once wore upon my face

No longer has a place

The sparkle in my eyes

When you were near

Has been replaced by tears

The joy in my heart

That let me sore so very high

Now lets me cry

Your sweet loving touch

That made my problems melt

Has been so long since the last I felt

The way I could stand strong

When times got rough

No longer seems to be enough

The bed I once shared with you

How it felt so right

Now is just a lonely sight

We had so much to gain

From the love we shared

Now apart we have been tarred

The love for you I carry so deep

This painful yearn

As I await your return
