"DEW DROPS"

IT HAD BEEN RAINING
THE MIST WAS HANGING ALL AROUND,
IT WAS LATE IN THE EVENING
SO THERE WAS MOISTURE ON THE GROUND.

DAWN HAS JUST AWAKEN
NIGHT HAS LEFT THE WET LAND,
EVERYWHERE CAN BE SEEN THE MIRACLE LEFT BY GOD
ALL THE BEAUTY BY THE TOUCH OF HIS HAND.

EARLY THE NEXT MORNING
THE DEW WAS SPARKLING VERY BRIGHT,
RAIN DROPS WERE FASTENED TO EVERY FLOWER
THE SUN HAD YET TO SHINE A LIGHT.

THESE DEW DROPS GLISTENED MANY HUES
RIPE RED APPLES LAY UNDER THE TREE,
TO TAKE A BITE AND TASTE THESE APPLES
ARE A COOL CRISP DELICIOUS TREAT FOR ME.

I LOVE AN EARLY SUMMER MORNING AFTER A RAIN
THE DEW JUST HANGS THERE - SUSPENDED IN TIME,
THEY PICK UP THE COLORS OF THE FLOWERS
THEIR BEAUTY IS A FAVORITE OF MINE.

THIS TINY BALL OF WATER
SO DELICATE IN THE MORNING LIGHT,
FASTENED - CLINGING THERE ON A FLOWER STEM
SHIMMERING - HANGING ON REALLY TIGHT.

TO SEE AND ENJOY THIS RARE TREAT
ONCE MORNING HAS MOVED ON TOWARD NOON,
YOU GOT TO GET UP EARLY
IT MIGHT NOT RETURN ANY TIME TOO SOON.

THE SUN BEGINS TO SHINE AND GET HOT
IT MELTS THESE LITTLE DROPLETS AWAY,
THEY ARE NO LONGER PROTECTED BY SHADE
SO THEY CAN NO LONGER STAY.

A TINY SPIDER WORKS AND WORKS AND SPINS A WEB
THIS ALSO CATCHES THE DEW,
THE WETNESS GLISTENS AND SHOWS EACH VEIN
THE WONDERS OF NATURE IS EVERYWHERE FOR YOU.

LIKE THE RAINBOWS AFTER A SHOWER
THESE DEW DROPS ARE BEAUTIFUL FOR A SHORT WHILE,
ENJOY THESE BEAUTIES OF NATURE
AFTERWARDS, I REMEMBER THEM WITH A SMILE.

GOD CAN PAINT A GLORIOUS PICTURE
TURN WEATHER THAT IS DARK AND GRAY,
INTO A LOVELY WORK OF ART
RAIN AND DEW DROPS MAKE A LOVELY BOUQUET.

Written...........August 31, 2008
I love dew drops and rainbows and in the wee hours just at the arrival
of dawn, while the morning is still young, to spot dew drops hanging
so delicate on a flower or stem, picking up their colors is just so
beautiful. All those colors fastened inside this tiny ball of water,
suspended there in the air. There is no way man can do this...another
gift from God.
