"In the Shade of the Pale Moonlight"

I stand in the shade of the pale moonlight
Iced dew crunching under my feet
My hand runs along the ice
I think of you and my heart hurts

It hurts from the pain you sought
Sought unknowingly, unwillingly...perhaps

My heart grows cold
My heart retreats behind its bars
I should never have let them open to you
You. Breaker of hearts
You harbinger of my soul

You let me dream, let me wonder
Now all that is left is a hollow case
Hollow and cold
Oh so cold
