"My Birthday Wish"

Wish I could kiss his little cheek and marvel his smiling face,
Wish I could go back to this day a year ago,
When I let someone else take my place.

But I'm wishing on a star that isn't falling,
Trying to count a blessing that isn't mine,
Hoping God can hear me calling,
When I ask Him for a favor this time.

Can you let him know I love him,
And kiss his little cheek?
Tell him I said Happy Birthday,
And keep me strong on this day,
When I am the most weak?
