I recently gave this book as a gift to my daughter's teacher. I love the fact that you can "hide" photos and quotes and reading it is quite an adventure! I tend to add embellishments to my books so one of the pages started ripping from the binding. Instead of going into a panic, I simply cut all of the pages from the binding, punched some holes and secured it with binder clips...it worked like a charm! I ordered several more books that I'll use for a few short family vacations. :)
I bought this album in conjunction with a class offered by BPS and it was so fun to use and assemble. I love the little peek-a-boo pages - very unique. You do have to be careful not to add too many bulky embellies though or it won't close. Another issue I had with the top pull-out pages is that they will easily come all the way out which isn't what you want. Just be careful not to pull on them too hard.
This is one of the best mini-albums I have ever used!!! It was so much fun to put together, and I was so amazed at the number of pictures it would hold! I especially loved the little hidden pull-out pockets. They are perfect for those "not-so-perfect" pictures that you just have to put in the album, but you don't necessarily want front and center (slightly blurry? out of focus? no problem!). I want so badly to rate this 5 stars. There are however a few very minor things I wanted to point out. The book is constructed very tightly out of the package. What this means is as soon as you begin to add pictures, paper, embellies, etc., it no longer closes. Not only does the book not really close, but the area where the front pull out is ends up bowing a little. It would have been nice if the pages were constructed to leave a little room in between to decorate. Okay, having said that, it is still a fabulous album, and I HIGHLY recommend it! Perfect for a special occasion or for a tribute to a special person (or pet)!
I am using this to make a "family" book for my son. The way it's designed is so cute & unique. The only tricky thing is getting paper adhered to the pull-out tabs, but once you get the hang of it, it looks so adorable!
