Finally, a paper cutter that will cut at very nearly a perfect right-angle when paper is lined up with the top paper guide. I've purchased many other paper cutters over the years of all prices and styles and this is the first that has come this close. The wire is a great aid for lining up pre-measured and marked paper. The increments marked on the face of the cutter and running the length of the cutting bed facilitate cutting to the closest 1/4" while the rulers at the top and bottom will enable 1/16" measurements. The blade tracks well without the blade guides distorting under pressure. The 8-1/2" x 12-1/2" cutting bed is just right for cutting 12" scrapbook paper yet the overall 8-1/2" x 14-1/2" size of the cutter makes it small enough to travel with ease. A well-thought-out tool. Two thumbs up for this priced-right cutter.
I luv the cutter and the size sketches on the front where they can not be smeared. I got extra blades which is I for the cutter but it has a a score attachment also which Scrapbook.com does not carry at all. I had to call the company from the number on package and get them. They come in one blade and score in a pack. Since Scrapbook.com doesn't carry alot of stuff that is advertised I have changed ordering sites. This place will get it in stock for u really fast and are very good about helping u out with problems in merchandise u really want. Fiskars was totally amazed they did not carry the score blade that goes with the machine. I have already received them from Fiskars fast shipment.
i purchased this trimmer a few weeks ago, i love it! i've a few other trimmer, including some other fiskars, and they just dont compare to me! the wire shows you exactly where its going to cut. the grid and ruler on the board are under the plastic and wont rub off. the extended arm locks into place when measuring larger pieces of paper. the trimmer itself has a lock so it makes it easy to travel with and store. it has rubber corners which keep the trimmer in place when cutting, i've really come to appreciate that. all around a really great trimmer and wish i had it when i started!

OK, first a confession: I haven't actually cut anything with it yet, that's for this weekend.... BUT, I've always loved Fiskars paper cutters -- I've always had excellent luck and this one has the wider cutting base for easier cutting for A2 cards (5.5 without extending the arm) AND scrapbooking -- how often does one ever cute more than 6"? NEVER, because 6 is half of the 12x12 paper so if you want to cut 8 you can cut 4. SO, I'm thinking I'll never have to worry about pulling out the arm for cutting again in my whole life. I bought one for my BFF too!
IF YOU ARE A SCRAPBOOKER OR CARD MAKER, THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST TRIMMER I HAVE EVER USED. AND I HAVE TRIED MANY AND END UP GIVING THEM AWAY. IT IS EASY, NO MISTAKES ON PAPER BEING CUT CROOKED, THE FINE WIRE GUIDE LINE IS UNBELIEVABLE. CHANGING THE BLADE, WELL, IT IS SO EASY. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH "GOOD THING" ABOUT IT. I WOULD GIVE IT A 10 IF THEY HAD THAT MANY STARS.

I really love working with this trimmer. It's easy to use with all the sizes printed on it. The increments are easy to read and I love that there is a wire guide right where the cut is going to be so I know exactly where I'm going to be cutting. I wish it came with a scoring slide as well so I could score my cardstock after cutting it. Wonderful product from Fiskars though!
Kept waiting to take the plunge to upgrade from my portable 9" trimmer to this 1' and am super pleased!! Cuts through paper seamlessly, has some sort of non-stick coating that prevents your paper from slipping, which has been the bane of my existence with my old one!
The only gripe I have with this product is...I wish I knew about it sooner!
Is there a 10 start category??? This is the BEST paper trimmer I have ever used! I've been scrapbooking for over 11 years now and this one beats them all! I hope the blades hold up, that's my only worry, but that guide line for cutting, and the handles, and the grid markings, and the stability on the table - awesome product!
I love this paper cutter!!!! I have bought many different kinds in the past but this one is the best one I have EVER owned!!! My favorite feature is the lock on it so your paper doesn't shift while you are trying to cut it!!! Another nice feature is the wire that you can see exactly where it will cut.
I love this! More work room with the larger base, the trim line is something that has been needed for a long time. The ability to see where the blade will be cutting is priceless! No more missed cut lines, which can throw off the entire project. Thank you Fiskars for this product!
I have a number of trimmers, but this one is the best by far. Not only does the guide make it easier to cut, but it's the first trimmer who's 'arm' actually gives you an accurate cut. I was the first in my scrap group to pick one up. Now all my scrap buddies have purchased one.
This is my second Fiskars Paper Trimmer and couldn't be more happier with it. Large working area, precise cutting and what is the best - measurement lines will not wear of like on my previous trimmer because they are printed beneath. Love it and highly recommend it.
I am very impressed with the Fiskars - 12 Inch Premium Cut Trimmer. I've used Fiskars products before but this was my first trimmer. I would recommend this product to others, as it was highly recommended to me by another artist.
I love love love this trimmer. I love the wider deck and the wire so I can see E*X*A*C*T*L*Y where I'm cutting. This is my 3rd Fiskar's trimmer, and they've finally got it right (in my mind) lol.

I can't even begin to tell you how many trimmers I tried before I finally found this one! It cuts straight every time and I love the large 6 inch base too!

I love this trimmer it has 6 inches to lay the paper flat and this makes it easy to cut the 12x12 in half without it going all over the place. it has great marking as well which make lining paper up for cutting easy
I LOVE this trimmer. With the wire on it, you can see exactly where your paper will be cut. I've had many different trimmers & could never get paper cut exact. Now I can!

Wonderful, I love the pre-marked cutting lines for picture sizes. I use this for Court display boards, it makes cropping so much faster.

Practicla and compact
I truly love this paper cutter. All the features are exactly what I need. However, after 2 years of use, the wire guide has started to fray and the blade no longer slides smoothly. In other words, I have worn it out! Am in the process of contacting Fiskars to see if a new wire guide is available. I would purchase this cutter again if I can't just replace the wire guide.
I really like the wire to help you see exactly where you will be cutting - this is most useful for block cutting or even cutting coupons too. I have the LED Fiskars that also has the same design on it & I like this one much better - due to the blade and more precise accuracy.
the 6inch width makes this great for trimming paper for your cricut. Cuts are sharp and smooth and the wire is invaluable. The swing-arm can be a little stubborn, but still so much better than any other I've used. Very glad I made the switch to this trimmer!!
I like that you can see the exact size your mat or pictures wil be when finished cutting, also the locking feature, ease of removing the blade when it needs replacing..
I just got the Fiskars Premium Cut-Line trimmer a week ago and so far I'm really loving it - especially because of the wire that shows you EXACTLY where the blade will cut (which is perfect for cutting between journaling strips - absolutely love that). I also love the wider base of 6-1/4" as opposed to my other Fiskars trimmer which is only about 3". So I don't have to swing the side arm out just to crop or mat photos meaning that it actually takes up LESS space on my scrapbooking table than my other 3" wide Fiskars trimmer. Plus it has markings that are underneath the acrylic in 1/2" increments for lining up your paper perfectly and for standard photo sizes & even one for a standard size A2 card that won't ever rub off and an extension that swings out from the side that gives you a total of 15-1/4". Plus it takes the same exact blade refills as my other trimmer which I already have a couple refill packs for from when they were on sale. And just like my other Fiskars trimmer, I love this one also because you can cut thinner strips of paper. I guess with some other trimmers you can't do that?? And the paper guard/blade locks down, which is nice.
I have 6 different paper trimmers sitting in my studio. Everything from Provo Craft to Xacto and yes, even Fiskars. And none of them compare to this trimmer! It is without a doubt the most accurate trimmer I have ever used. The extra wide cutting surface and swing out ruler are both a time and headache saver. I LOVE this product! So much so, that I will be ordering a new one as soon as they are available again. And the blades ... oh the blades! They last forever and I use mine daily. I have probably made 400 cuts since I got the trimmer a few weeks ago (I make hand made wedding invitations). Believe me, it gets a work out. Nice clean, accurate cuts EVERYTIME! Highly recommend this product.
I am new to scrap booking. I am so glad I decided to start making scrap booking projects. I have so many memorable photos just laying in boxes and drawers. It was little challenging at first, because I was not familiar with any of the crafting supplies. Once, I did a little homework and took the plunge, scrap booking is really fun. The Fiskars 12 inch trimmer is definitely a must have. This is my first trimmer, so I can not compare it to others, but I have not made a mistake in matting my photos or cutting on any of my paper projects. I really love this 12 x 12 trimmer.
I had an earlier version of a Fiskars cutter and I really liked it but it didn't have the movable arm to let you messure a 12 by 12 piece of paper and it never seemed to cut exactly the way I wanted, kind of went off sides a little bit. I got this cutter mostly because of the messurements on the cutter itself. I like to make tags and this was perfect since the cutting lines were marked out for me. It cut awesome! Perfecty straight and no slipping or slidind around. Its my new favorite thing in my art area. I highly recommend this product.
I am VERY pleased with this trimmer! I bought another Fiskars trimmer when I first began crafting in 2009 but I didn't like the way it cut. Sometimes the papers ended up uneven and it left me frustrated (and wasting paper!). Well, I know that Fiskars is a good brand so I decided to give them another try. I am SO HAPPY I did!! I love this trimmer!! The cuts are even and the wire guide makes it easy to know exactly where you are cutting. I would definitely recommend this one!!
I'm new to scrapbooking but not new to paper crafting and finally decided it was time for a quality paper trimmer to get started on my first album. After scouring tons of "best paper trimmer" threads on this site, I purchased this trimmer today. I was still nervous about my purchase at first, given all of the recommended trimmers out there, but I now have no regrets! I used it for about three hours today and the cuts are smooth and precise. This is an excellent choice!
I do not know how I scrapped so many years without this cutter. I get a straight line every time and if I make a mark where I want to cut with the built in guide I can cut directly on that mark every time. this cutter is great and I would recommend it to anyone who has problems with any other trimmer
I have been scrapbooking for as long as I can remember. I have had so many trimmers over the years. I was just so tired of them not being good ones and having various problems. I ordered this for myself and it is so awesome. Oh I wish I had this years ago!
This is BY FAR the best trimmer I have ever owned, would not trade it for any other! The wire guide is the best in precision cutting, and the arm is very stable, no wiggling and crooked cuts any more! Would go higher than 5 stars if able!
I have been through so many trimmers over the years, after purchasing this one I am finally happy! It is well built and cuts nicely, is easy to use and not too big so it can be easily transported. I am very happy with this!
I bought this trimmer because my previous one wouldn't cut straight. This is very easy to use. It is smooth, light weight and the feet hold it to the table well. I would buy another.
I love this trimmer, it packs up well and always provides a straight clean cut. The blades are easy to change and I even love the scoring blade option!
