I was a little nervous about buying a rotary cutter because I've had bad experiences with them before, but this one just sounded so good & it was on sale! I have been using it for a little while now & it lives up to the hype! Cuts are nice & straight, it is easy to line up the paper & the locking bale is great. It is a little heavy & way bigger than my old trimmer so I wouldn't travel with it, but I sure am looking forward to never having to buy replacement blades & consistently straight cuts!
Love it! As advertised the trimmer cuts accurate, straight even cuts. It is heavy duty and very durable. The blade is sharp and still cutting clean with no ragged edges. I make handmade cards that require a lot of cuts and I was spending a lot of money on replacement blades on my other inexpensive Fiskars trimmer. The measuring surface folds in half which is a great space saver on your work table if you are not cutting 12"x12" sheets of paper. A very good investment!
I just Love Love Love it! Other cutters tend to give you a not so true straight cut because there is a bit of a give in the platform. Not to mention the "fuzzies" you get once the blade begins to dull. This cutter will not give because of the way it is constructed. So the cut is always precise and sharp, not to mention that you NEVER HAVE TO REPLACE THE BLADE!!! It's simply Awesome, best money I have spent on a craft tool and well worth it!
I have a guillotine-type cutter, but the blade was constantly needing to be sharpened and the paper would slip out of place; this is a wonderful cutter, I have even cut chipboard with it (although probably that's not a good idea). But what sold me on it was the fact that the blade never needs replacing, according to the manufacturer; and the measurements are very easy to see for this elderly lady!
This is the best paper trimmer I've ever had and believe me I've had them all! When they named it ProCision they meant it. The cut is perfect with no fraying. I am a card maker and it cuts everything I need wonderfully. I don't believe I will ever need another one and since the blade never needs replaced I think I'm set. How can you go wrong with Fiskars lifetime guarantee!?
I have been using this paper cutter for the past couple weeks now and absolutely love it. It cuts papers with exact precision; the papers haven't slipped at all (even the smaller pieces of paper); and it folds up when not in use. I have several paper cutters and trimmers, but this is the best one and the one I will continue using. Excellent product and worth the money.
This is my favorite trimmer of all time! I love that the blade never needs sharpened, and the measurements are located all across the cutter instead of just on the sides. This helps if you're cutting a piece of paper that is less than 12x12. It was advertised as the last cutter you will need to buy, and I believe it! It's the last one I plan on buying!
I have been searching for the perfect paper cutter for years, and this is it. It cuts cardstock like butter and, with a little harder push, goes right through chipboard. One of the best features is nothing to replace, no blades, no cutting bars, nothing. It holds the paper in place, eliminating movement that is common in other paper cutters. I love it!
This trimmer, is hands down, the best paper trimmer I've purchased and/or tried to date. It cuts cleanly, with very minimal effort (pressing), and with zero "blade drag" on the edges. It also cuts through up to medium weight chipboard with relative ease. Can't comment on the "self-sharpening" aspect yet, as I haven't had it long enough to gauge that.
I do a lot of paper cutting to make mini albums or to do my favorite altered cigar boxes. I was frustrated having to constantly buy the replacement blades; well, no more! This is guaranteed to never go dull. It is a smooth cut & very easy to use. It is nice for cuts over 6 inches also. I recommend this to anyone who cuts papers.
Having recently received my cutter, I haven't used it all that much. So far I'm liking it. I have another Fiskars cutter that progressively started cutting crooked the more I used it. I'm hoping that won't become an issue with this one. It seems to be very well constructed & durable. It cuts very smoothly with no jagged edges! Yay!
I carried this trimmer to a three day crop recently. It is larger & heavier than standard trimmers, but made more compact since it folds. I love that it can cut through layers of paper with ease. I'm adjusting to the rotary blade ~ small learning curve. Very pleased with this purchase!
I have many other trimmers, both rotary, guillotine, and blade runners. This trimmer is THE BEST EVER!! Easy to read with precision cuts, even when you only have to take an nth off!! The dual rail system to this rotary trimmer really makes it ProCision!!
I could never hold a straight line when cutting paper. I have boughten many cutters over the years, but they slip, cut uneven, blades go flat and tear paper, etc. THIS IS THE BEST MONEY I EVER SPENT FOR A CUTTER! It is worth every penny! AWESOME!
Despite the substancial construction of this trimmer it is not too heavy and the cutting results are perfection. You can say goodbye to wobbly blades or lack of precision in detailed work. Well worth the investment - you will not be disappointed.
I found this one after I had ordered the CutterPillar pro. I sent that one back. I love the Fiskars, it is soooo much easier to use than the cutterpillar pro. I love the way it cuts and holds down the paper so it does not buckle when being cut
I love it. I own may paper trimmers and some work better than others but all except this one fall short one way or another. I love that it is easy to use, and the cut is clean and sharp. It is well worth the investment. Go for it.
Love not having to purchase replacement blades. Love the pull out table which is level to the rest of the trimmer. Love not getting fingerprints on paper due to the lift-up and locking protector. Love that trimmer folds for storage.
I love this trimmer. I have used it for cutting chipboard and it works great. I still use my smaller fiskars also for smaller items. I love that it folds in half so takes up less room. I would recommend it to a friend.
Love this new trimmer - the fact that it folds in half and saves room on my table. Like the paper guard that helps keep the paper secure when cutting. Also like the fact the cutting blade does not have to be replaced.
I've only used this a couple of times but it cuts wonderfully. It is solid, not too heavy and since it folds up, I can still leave it on my craft table. So glad Santa brought me what I wanted!
It cuts through thin chipboard, it folds up and can still be used folded up, it cuts straight EVERY time AND Fiskars offers a Lifetime Warranty!! Need I say more?
The Fiskars Procision is an exceptional tool. It is easy to use, cuts accurately, and storages easily. What more could a crafter want from a cutting tool!
Awesome trimmer. I can toss all of my others! Never have to replace the blade and finally get perfectly straight cuts. Even chipboard!

The best trimmer I've ever had, and I've had a lot of trimmers!
I was excited to purchase this trimmer. I already owned a Fiskar's trimmer (the one with the more permanant markings but a blade) and love it. My only complaint with it is the fact that it's not quite perfectly true to square... and I was sure hoping that was only a problem with that particular trimmer. So I took the plunge and purchased this trimmer, with the benefit of not having to purchase trimmer blades every month. EEK!
Well, this one cuts beautifully! I love the ease of seeing the markings. And it is sturdy. I only have two complaints with it.
1. It is not perfectly true to square! UGH!!! Why can't Fiskars get that right??? I have to tweak the cut just a bit to get perfect layers - and I hate that. It's do-able, but a nuisance. Fiskars could make my life so much easier!
2. The 5 1/2" marking doesn't exist. And for cardmakers, that is the most important mark of all! Granted, there is a line there, since that is the edge of the main trimmer, but it would be nice if it told me that was the 5 1/2" line. I had to figure that out on my own.
All in all, I am glad I made this purchase.
I really, really like this trimmer. It is the best trimmer I have ever owned as it actually holds my paper square since it has already been set up square at the factory. I have found that other trimmers, with a plastic arm which must be extended, finally start to lose their true 'squareness' after a while as the hinge or whatever gets tired with continual use. The only reason it did not receive a five star rating is because this trimmer hinges at about the 6" mark so it does not actually have the 6" position marked on the trimmer. For whatever reason I've been using that dimension a lot lately with my Martha Stewart punches so I have been using a ruler to ensure that I have my paper in exactly the right position before I cut. I do not put my trimmer away so do not need it to hinge and would MUCH prefer it to be properly marked all along its ruler -- although that would require a much larger box for shipping. Otherwise I absolutely LOVE it!
I wish I could buy a home trimmer which offers a replacement blade without paying hundreds of dollars that a commercial trimmer costs. This trimmer is twice the price of other home trimmers I have had and there is still no option of replacing the blade, but I do like the double bar which stabilizes the blade. No blade lasts forever, so the only option is planned obsolescence so when the blade dulls too much we have to buy the whole shebang all over again. It's handy to have the base fold up for people who close it and store it or take it to a crop, but I would prefer a solid base so that the measuring grid is easier to use in the midsection. The plastic plate that goes down over the paper holds it in place very well, and right now, as my trimmer is new, I'm enjoying a very sharp blade. Nice tool; a little expensive; wish it had a replacement blade though, so only 4 stars.
I find this trimmer to be very precise on the measurements vs some of the other ones on the market. It's not as clean of a cut as it claims to be. I've found some of my edges jagged.
The cutter was a bit heavier than I expected, which detracts a little from its portability. High quality product otherwise.
So far, I've only had it a few weeks, I'm pleased. A little pricey, hope it was a wise choice
Have been disappointed with trimmer. edges are not trimmed neatly after every cut have to trim off rough edges. Also gap in the middle where measurements are missing are the exact areas you need when making cards. I paid alot of postage to get this sent to me in Australia, and unfortunately it was definitely not worth it.
I was actually disappointed in the cutter.
It's bulky and heavy, the 6 inch line is
located at the joint making it difficult to
line paper up, and it doesn't do even very
thin chipboard. The heavier paper seems
to slide around on the platform. I wouldn't
recommend it to anyone. If I hadn't purchased
this on line I would have returned it.
I love Fiskars, but this cutter was a huge disappointment, expensive lesson. I will stick to scissors.
Got this for a steal with a 60% off coupon, and love it! Cuts like magic. Most other cutters are not true to square so every cut was cut twice to make it work. This trimmer however, works like a dream, sharp blade, sound construction, stays put and perfect cuts each time. Since I didn't pay the full price for it, I can't complain about the price for this very worthwhile trimmer!
I was hesitant to buy a folding cutting board but everything I read about it seemed so perfect so I decided to try it. No regrets here! It's an awesome cutter, very sturdy and makes a perfect cut every time!
This cutter is very heavy duty and should last a very long time. The blade cuts paper without frags and the cut is even. I love using it and will continue to do so many years to come.

I bought this cutter specifically for chipboard. When cutting the medium weight, I did have to press down but it was a clean cut. I use medium weight for albums and have looked and looked for one without "big bucks". I am sure that lighter chipboard will cut like "butter" as well as other weights of cardstock. I gave it three stars because I have to really exert pressure on medium chipboard.
