I bought these scissors specifically to cut through unmounted rubber stamp sheets. I thought my Tonic scissors were doing a pretty decent job, but the way some people raved about the Kai scissors online made me wonder if things would be easier using them. The online ravers were right - these scissors make cutting through rubber a snap! I'm no longer worried about wrecking any of my unmounted stamps in the cutting process. It's amazing how having the right tool can make a job so much easier, or rather, how having a substandard tool can become a source of unending minor irritation. Highly recommended.
I specifically got these scissors as I am unmounting all my stamps and needed something to cut clean with the EZ Mount Foam & Cling. It does a beautiful job. I am still getting used to the short blades but they are very good. I would like to compare them to Tim Holz' Scissors to see what the difference is.
My sister recommended these to me and she was right. The oversized handles make them easy to use with my arthritis. The blades work well on just about anything I want to cut and are better and stronger than the average scissors or shears.
These scissors are of such poor quality. This price for what you get is totally mismatched. These scizzors will be returned asap. This company needs to go back to the drawing board or engineer's board.
These scissors are great for all your large scissor needs. I love them so much I have bought them twice. I keep one set dedicated to cutting my rubber and foam. As with any scissors, they get sticky after cutting out many stamps. To solve this, I do one of two things: wipe them down before cutting with Goo Gone, or wipe the blade across a Versamark pad. Neither interfere with the stickiness of the foam mounting sheets.
My friend told me to not mess around with other scissors and go right for the best one! Cuts through rubber stamps like butter! You won't be disappointed! I am new to stamping so I make sure and ask my veteran friends whenever I have questions!
I didn't think it would make a difference what scissors I used to cut my cling-mount sheets. I was wrong! Slices through red rubber sheets easily which then I add to the cling-mount sheet and slice again around the stamp. Worth every penny.
