I have been scrapbooking for a while now and have tried several glue products. There are none like my Herma Dotto Dots Dispenser. I love it to bits!! Easy to use and affortable!!
This is definitely the best of the best!!!

This applicator is really easy to use, and fits quite comfortably in my hand. The adhesive itself applies smoothly without any skipping. It's really easy to apply adhesive to curves, and the adhesive is quite sticky from first application which I like, but it's not so sticky that you can't carefully remove something if you place it wrong.

I've used this for over a year. I love the adhesive! I'm more fond of the removable kind because I like to pull things up and move them! I don't think it's that hard to refill but I do get tired of it backing up on itself. I like it because it's not that expensive and it works well!

I love this adhesive...it is really easy to use, and really easy to replace when you need to refill. And, best part of all, it comes off really easily if (ok, when) I make a mistake! Just rub it a little and it comes right up. Great product!

I used this roller for quite a while before I switched to the Therm O Web roller. I do like the product, but I DON'T like what a pain it is to refill. I liked the adhesive itself. It was permanent and did stay in place. When the roller was working well, it was awesome. BUT when it comes time to refill it, you have to roll it just right to fit it in the dispenser and cut the little tail. I am a very common sense person, but this part of the product really irritated me. It seemed every time I thought I got the refill in, it would get hung up on itself and I would have to start over (seemed like a lot of waste to me!). Not to mention all the little adhesive "goobers" that pile up.

I bought this a couple of years ago and the original, new tape worked great. I've had problems with the refills, where the dispenser gums up, and the tape backs up on itself. It's frustrating to have to stop in the middle of a project to wind the tape back up. "Degunking" it does not improve this problem. That said, the adhesive works incredibly well. I love that if you make a mistake, you can "un-do" it by rubbing it away. And all of that said, if you don't have a lot of money to invest up-front, this works well for the cost and it is very versatile and portable.

This dispenser works very well when first using it brand new. After using it to apply adhesive to scrapbook pages and swap items the roller area gets all yucky with adhesive clumps. When the roller gets like this it doesn't want to easily roll out the dotto tape.
I've never had a problem replacing the empty roll with a new roll and the refill cartriages aren't too costly for how much adhesive you get, 49 feet.

This adhesive works really, really well. I have never had a problem with it and this will last longer than a lot of others. The only thing I don't like is that I have never been able to use the refills. Each time I tried to refill, I ended up trying to apply w/the cover off because the refill would bind up constantly! The refills just never worked right at all & for the amount of $, I have definitely seen better!

While I like all of the Herma products, I have had a problem with buildup on the dispenser I purchased. Even with frequent cleaning, I can't seem to get the tape to flow easily. Since reading other reviews, I've decided to purchase a second dispenser and start all over. I'm hoping for better luck this time. P.S. I really appreciate hearing from other reviewers. Thanks.
I have had mine for several years and it still works great. I admit, I still have to look at the directions to install a new tape but no problems installing it. Very good adhesive that lasts a long time.
I love this product, but as many have previously said, it tends to get sticky with build-up and the roll backs up on itself. If you have had problems in the past with your dispenser backing up, maybe this next part will help: I finally took out the smallest circle/ring (where the "used" portion of glue winds up) and took it apart and cleaned it. There is a small part of this that looks like a "c" and is quite thin: it is also the part that has the tab. This tab is supposed to ride over the top of the big flat white circle and also over the small c-shaped raised portion of the dispenser. I guess I had turned this "c" tab upside down when I had previously cleaned it, and it was causing difficulties in spinning. So far, my dispensor is working great! Hopefully it stays working as well, and maybe this explanation can be of some help.
I love this adhesive dispenser. I haven't had any of the usual problems with things coming un-stuck and then floating around under my page protector. The refills are a bit tricky to install the first time, but the instructions are included in every refill box. My only problem with this dispenser is that it occasionally needs to be de-gunked with some Un-Do when it doesn't wanna roll smoothly anymore. After that fix I'm usually good to go again for at least 3 re-fills before I gotta do it again.
I am very particular about my adhesives - especially in the refillable dispenser category. I had difficulty refilling it the first time (accidentally tossed the directions- oops!). The product comes out nice & clean & the objects stay put. It is so easy to use you can zip through a page in no time with this tool. I also have to say that I live in a very remote small town & both the local craft store & discount store carry refills for this dispenser. I am very happy with it!
When I first started scrapping I used my sister's rollers and always seemed to have problems with it. I went out and bought this one for my own and Love it. I have not had any problems with refilling it nor any problems with piled up gook. I do clean it when I am done scrapping and remove any gook that had piled up. My sister had now resorted to using my adhesive roller when I go over to her place to scrap saying it is much better then any of hers.
This was my choice of adhesive for maybe 10-12 years, until the company was bought by EK success. I feel the “formula” was changed. Other than the refilling problem, once it is refilled the "gunked up" dispenser is still there. I have spoken many EK success representatives. May have been a coincidence, but they know they have a problem as there will be a new dispenser coming which will be easy to refill….but I can not see how that will help if the adhesive still “gunks” up. I have tried undo, but I was not able to save my dispensers. It has been turned into a throw away adhesive. Don’t even try to refill it.
This was one of the first dispensers I bought and at first didn't have any issues with it. But over time, the adhesive has gotten onto the roller and even when I try to clean it up, I still have a hard time using it with ease. The only reason why I still use it right now is because I have refills for it and don't want to waste my money. As soon as I am done with the last refill, I will buying a new permanent adhesive dispenser. I wouldn't recommend this one. There has to be a better one out there.
I had given up on these years ago because although I loved the way it worked originally, I could NOT refill it correctly and ended up throwing it away. When I heard they had a 'new and improved' one I ordered it. The case was very loose and came all the way off once, causing the tape to fall out. Needless to say I have not been able to fix it. I wrote to Herma, but they haven't bothered to reply.
Not good. It says it is "refillable" and that is a joke. Between the gummed up roller, the INSANELY difficut to replace refills, and the high price, I would not recommend it to anyone.
