This works like many of the twistable date stamps used in business. It also has a short phrase you can choose to use or not. I don't know how I've been without one for so long. It's definitely part of my working stash now.
I love the smash rubber stamp it has fun little things to say beside your date and I no longer have to use an old date stamp from work I have current years!

I bought this stamp for journaling, and was extremely disappointed that the date doesn't go back beyond 2011. I get that the dates go forward, not backward (since it's intended for daily journaling in the SMASH book), but I really don't have much use for it at this time.

Of all the many SMASH items I've purchased, this is the 1st I've come across that I thought was a total waste of money. I bought it because the sayings were perfect for what I intended, but the print is so small I couldn't even read the sayings. I had to get a magnifying glass to see what I had stamped on the paper. Also, I was having a terrible time trying to get the full saying to stamp out. I'd wind up with the ends and not the middle or one half and not the other until I used a bread board for a flat surface. Even then, the result wasn't great. It's too bad, because I really wanted it for the phrases. I should have returned it, but I held onto it without using it until I had gotten all the other SMASH book items I wanted. By then, it was my own fault that I was sort of stuck with the thing. Well, that's my two cents worth.
First, let me start off by saying I LOVE the Smash collection. However, this is probably my least favorite item. It's a great idea, but the letters on the stamp are sooooo small that they are hardly worth stamping on anything. If the lettering were even a little larger this would be a great product.
