scrapping since 2000, I have tried all the adhesives out there. Even the ones that rolled out smoothly did not stick in the long run - old layouts are falling apart. I have used the Scotch ATG for 4+ years and can highly recommend it. Yes, it's big and initially expensive, but it works, it sticks, and it lasts. The rolls last for weeks without needing replacement, and it is maneuverable even in small places. I recommend the 1/4" size for scrapbooking.
There really is not to much to decide on here, the amount of tape that is on this role makes up for the price of the atg gun by far, you will soon appreciate not running out of tape in the middle of a project and simply enjoy the price of the tape refills. Yeah thumbs up for scotch adhesive. And b 4 I 4 get the general use tape is what I use on my card making and scraobboking paper(s) I wood not recommend the General use for photos.
There isn't anything that hasn't already been said about the value and useability of Scotch ATG tape. Beats the heck out of smaller "snail" adhesive applicators. It does require that you scrupulously adhere to the technique for applying the adhesive. You have to be precise.
This item is wonderful! Great for doing lots of cards at once or covering a large area. Easy to use, replacing the refill is not hard. Directions are clear and easy to understand. Way cheaper than buying the little snail adhesive all the time.
Easy to install and easy to use. Extremely reliable. This tape is good to use when you need a lot and to really hold your projects together. I have ordered this tape refill several times and will continue to do so!
I love using this adhesive for big projects. It is quick and easy to use. Getting used to refilling the ATG Gun takes a bit of practice, but I use it consistently.
I don't know how I got along without the gun and the adhesive before. I love the product and I did some price comparisons, and you had the best price!
I really liked working with this adhesive with my new Scotch ATG Applicator Gun. You can definitely do a lot of cards, scrapbooking and projects with only one roll of tape. I Love it! No stopping to refill a small adhesive runner when I was making a bunch of cards one evening...and still had lots of adhesive left. Very smooth using the adhesive with the ATG Gun also. The only thing you have to remember is to get used to the trigger on the gun and not go so fast and pick up the gun before you let go of the trigger. Once I started using it, it was extremely easy to work with. I love using this adhesive and it has very good hold. Once you tape something on...plan on having it stay there. Thanks Scotch and Scrapbook.com! Desiree'
This adhesive gun is easy to use with no jamming. The price is right and the refills (two to a package) are always available online. I use this product all the time and the adhesive is very good as far as really sticking permanently. I used to use the glue sticks, but my matted pictures would come loose from my pages after awhile as the glue dried out.
Used in this layout: Bicycle Page
This tape lasts a very long time and has great hold for my cards/ paper crafting needs. I can create LOTS AND LOTS of cards without having to change tape rolls as often and can trust that my card will not fall apart as they have with other glue runner tapes.
When I searched for refills for my 3M ATG, this was the recommended product which I ordered. On receipt, the package says "Do not use for antiques, heirlooms, valuables or irreplaceable items."
Nowhere in the product description on the website does it say that it is not the same acid-free tape I had purchased previously, nor was the acid-free tape recommended for me. I also ordered scrapbook paper and embellishments. Purchase at your own risk!!!!!
At first I had a hard time loading the tape, and then the tape would come off the roller, and then had hard time to re-load it.
Now that I have had it for awhile, I have it down pat. I like it now that I have those issues resolved.
The only thing I don't like about this is the fact that it seems like too much glue comes off and is wasted every once in awhile right on the roller that touches the paper. It gets built up and you have to take it off before it will roll properly.
Try it you'll like it.
