This kit is perfect for the flower making challenged designers...people like me! This has been quite helpful. I have watched tons of videos on flower making and my flowers always looked pitiful. I just made my first flowers using these handy tools and I now understand the concept of "the right tool for the right job! You will not be disappointed.
I tried to avoid purchasing this tool set, but I did not get the results I wanted. This tool kit is designed to make flowers and not only did I get a better flower, it took a lot less effort. The 3 pads are also an improvement over any substitute. Worth the investment.
I started not to purchase this set knowing I could piece together one with the items I already own, but went ahead because of the pads. Boy, am I glad I did! This set is great! Much needed to create the illusion of realistic flowers.
I watched Susan's videos and decided to order this tool kit...the mini thinlits, some fast drying glue, and off I went . It was a snap to do and an adorable addition to cards, enclosures, and gift tags.
I just tried this two nights ago and love it. I think the roses came out very nicely for a first try. I could not imagine trying to make them without the tool kit.
I felt the price I paid was well worth the product. I wish it came with instructions or pictures on how to use it, or a web site address to go to learn how to use it. I found the scissors need to be sharpen, they did not cut very well.
I have not have the opportunity to use this product yet but from the shape and size of the individual tools I can tell they will fill a need when making paper flowers!

The Susan's Gardens flower series is fantastic! After watching Utube tutorials and playing around with the die sets I have purchased, I am more than happy with the results. The tool set, though pricey is WELL worth the money. I have used all of these tools for more craft projects then just the SG flowers. They are just plain out handy. The reverse tweezers are worth the price alone, as the super fine needle nose is better than any reverse tweezers I have purchased. Don't know what reverse tweezers are??? Buy a pair. You will never know how you picked up itty bitty things without them!
I had made myself an "emergency" kit to manipulate paper for realistic flowers for a wreath for my mother last year - some ball styli and a piece of foam pad - while looking for the McGill kit. I'm glad I waited for this one from Susan. The loop tools are great, eliminating several steps for life-like petals and her molding pad is wonderful. The leaf pad and tool make creating leaves easy. The sissors and tweezers are good quality, and it's great to have the non-stick mat handy for gluing, etc.
